A digital initiative attempting to do public good by digitally preserving spatial heritage for historical records in 3D.

Immortalizing Reality
in 3D.

The Directive

We are The Ƶeitgeist Archive. Our mission is to create hyper-realistic digital twins of transient commercial spaces, at-risk architecture, and historical landmarks.

We utilize Gaussian Splat technology to capture not just the geometry, but the light, reflection, and "lived-in" atmosphere of a space.

Methodology

The process involves taking 500~3000 photos of an area. A typical scan takes between 15 to 40 minutes. Scanning is noninvasive, safe, and requires no intervention.

Archival Protocol

Data permanence is our priority. All raw volumetric scans are processed and physically burned onto M-DISC™ optical media, ensuring data integrity for up to 1,000 years.

Inquiries

To request a site preservation, report an at-risk location, or access the full data repository, please contact us.

Open Access Policy All processed scan data is available free of charge to researchers, historians, and the public.

About

This archive was initiated by Damjan Cvetkov-Dimitrov after losing countless buildings & interiors around the world to decay, lack of maintenance, improper restoration or instances like the Nakagin Tower in Tokyo.
